Prior to founding Aviation Partners Global Services Inc. in 2020, Mr. Terry served as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Orion Air Group Holdings, Inc. and Tempus Applied Solutions Holdings, LLC. (OTC:TMPS). Mr. Terry founded the family of Orion/Tempus companies in 2007 primarily to support government sponsored airborne intelligence and surveillance flight operations. From 2007 to 2019, Orion/Tempus executed over $1 billion in defense and commercial aerospace contracts and conducted more than $400 million in aircraft transactions.
Prior to founding Orion/Tempus, Mr. Terry was the Director of Government Aircraft and Service Sales for Bombardier Aerospace where he was responsible for the sale and execution of more than $500 million of government funded aircraft acquisition and modification programs in North and South America.
Mr. Terry was the Executive Vice President of Flight International, Inc., a publicly held US defense contracting company, from 1997-2001 and eventually directed the sale of the company to Veritas Capital in 2001.
From 1995-1997, Mr. Terry served as a consultant specializing in foreign military related sales of commercial aerospace equipment. Clients included Bristol Aerospace, then a division of Rolls Royce, plc.; TRW Aerospace, now a division of Northrop Grumman; and the US Navy.
A US Navy veteran, Mr. Terry served as a Naval Aviator for nearly eleven years, leaving in 1995 to pursue a career in commercial aviation. He has an undergraduate degree from the State University of New York and a Masters degree in Business Administration from Boston University. Mr. Terry also completed a post-graduate diploma program at the University of London School of Oriental and African Studies and was admitted to a Ph.D. program in Shipping, Finance, and Trade at City University Business School in London.
Additionally in 2011, Mr. Terry founded Global Flight Relief, LLC (a registered 501©3 organization) in an effort to provide aviation assets to assist in disaster relief and aeromedical evacuation missions. Global Flight Relief has conducted thousands of flight hours in East Africa and the Caribbean in support of the Howard G. Buffett Foundation, the Eastern Congo Initiative (Ben Affleck), the New Venture Fund and the World Pediatric Program. In 2016, Mr. Terry was recognized as the winner of the prestigious Living Legends of Aviation Humanitarian Award.
Mr. Stowell is a 40 year aviation industry veteran who as served as the CEO or President of Aviation Partners Inc. and Aviation Partners Boeing Inc. since 1993 while leading the company to unprecedented levels of success.
Danny Sullivan is a former professional auto racing champion who competed in Formula 1, Indy Car, NASCAR, and Le Mans. After retirement from competitive auto racing, Danny has held positions with Lexus, Penske, Red Bull, and other well-known international brands for the past 25 years. Danny was also a Senior Advisor to Tempus Jets, Inc. and affiliated companies from 2008 until 2019. Danny has extensive international business experience and invaluable relationships around with world with governments, corporations and influential individuals.
Kory Tarpenning is a former world-class athlete having competed in two Olympic Games as a pole vaulter – finishing fourth in the Barcelona Olympics in 1988. Kory is currently the owner of multiple businesses in in Monaco and France to include partnerships with Nike, Starbucks, and Red Bull. Kory brings a tremendous amount of business experience and contacts within the international diplomatic and financial communities to SST as part of our advisory and consulting business.
